Repairing a shower pan

A properly installed shower pan liner will save $2000 in repairs down the road. The main causes of failure are: one, no slope to the liner for proper drainage; two, clogged weep-holes at the drain; three, perforations below the water line; and four, too rich in portland cement setting bed. This last one is always a bug-a-boo when making repairs – it makes it difficult to remove. See my site for more instruction on good installations.
